Dropship, my experience II

Since the high cost of have a store on ebay: the insertion fee, transaction fee, monthly store fee, etc. I finally lost hope of earning money on ebay by dropship. Then I tried to have website of my own, and tried to sell other free sites.

I bougth a domain name, and tried to generate traffic by the store on ebay. It seems that it is not very successful. I admit that I am not good at advertising and attracting people to my site.

Then I tried to sell like on yahoo, or other free auction sites ( I will talk about online auction site in a separate category). Immediately, I found there were many frauds there. Some people would contact you, and said that they were out of US, but they wanted to buy your laptop for his/her customer. I will give an example here: If you want to sell your laptop at 1000$, they would offer you 1500$, and then mail them back 400$. That is to say, you can sell at 1100$, and earn extra 100$. However, these are definitely scams. The price they offered could be higher than the market price. They always ask you to mail the 400$ check immediately after you receive their 1500$ check. These 1500$ check is definitely fake. Luckily, I was never lured to earn the extra 100$. To me, there is no free lunch.

Finally, what I want to say is that: if you really want to jump into dropship business, be aware about the pros and cons of dropship business, plan really carefully, then sign up one of the best droship websites.
